Maui DreamCamp - The Third Day

Another day in paradise:

In the morning session we exchanged experiences with the NovaDreamer and other concerns of the night. Stephen's Tag was reading: "Pheble Etranger". Time for another RC (didn't want to bore you on the last pages, but reality - checking went on, of course).  I found a new trick for deepening the intention, saying to myself SOON I will be dreaming again. That felt much more effective. BTW I can say in my experience, that Stephen (and Paul Tholey, the German psychologist and lucid dreamer and others) are right to say, that six RCs / reflection/ intention exercises per day are enough to set your mind to get lucid more often. Although I had no LDs during the camp I did very profit by the special state of mind created during the camp. The community of lucid beings was the main point, I think. This and the lectures, all the new thoughts and aspects, the "I remember" game that challenged my awareness, all the wonderful impressions on Maui and especially in Mana Lea Gardens. All in all I felt somewhat like going crazy and "muchwhat" being wider awake than ever. That is one part of what the DreamCamp was about: "... and Awakening". I never learned that through books. There is no substitute for this experience.

Back to the subject: We did go into the question what kind of "characters" lucid dreamers are. And again shared some worthy tips on how to get lucid. We got detailed information and discussed reality testing and the MILD technique.

Before having an afternoon nap using the NovaDreamer, we delivered another two butterflies with three tries. We was Wilson and me. We used the camera, asking some Maui companions to make a shot of us both. Nasty, I must confess. Hard to not laugh before tipping the forehead, when the camera was passed back. What is the essence of this trick? Maybe asking for help or asking for something, that is usually done by someone else. This is how some lucid characters are. Maybe I'll give more tips later...

Other people were on the beach this afternoon. But of course it was worthy to stay, not only for the nap, but to simply enjoy all the Mana Le'a Gardens facilities.

In the evening we discussed, whether anything like a dream really exists, how scientists doubted that and of course touched Stephen's experiments displaying arbitrary signals from lucid dreaming. Another interesting subject was anomalous perception in LD.

Then we watched "The Matrix". Again impressive in the DreamCamp's frame. I think, it deserves a better critique than the article on ASD website.

There is no spoon...

Hope I'll continue soon
